In 1969 Chevrolet produced 3,675 Inianapolis 500 Pace Car Edition Camaro RS/SS convertibles. This is one of the nicest, best optioned 1969 Indy 500 Pace Cars in existence. This is a former show car that is now street driven. It has won several first place trophies including a Minneapolis Aquatennia Concours d'Elegance. If you're interested in this car, you really need to see it in person.

The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is the most popular and sought after Camaro ever, and for good reason. The '69 Camaro is known as the "Hugger", due to its wide stance. For 1969, the Camaro was wider, longer, and even quieter than the years prior. The 1969 Camaro was designed and built for only one year. This makes it one of the rarest of all the Camaros ever made or designed.

The body is laser staight. There is no rust, dents, dings, or damage. The mud flaps keep the car from becoming chipped by rocks or road debris.

You really need to personally inspect this car before purchasing it. The photos reveal the excellence that you will see in person.

Four wheel disc brakes are on this car. I don't think that the rear discs brakes are the rare JL8 option, but they work great! The wheels are 15X7 rally wheels. I do have correct date coded wheels and tires for the car. Click the button to the left for more information.

The basic SS option for 1969 includes the Turbo-Fire 350 engine, power front disc brakes, floor mounted transmission, special hood, suspension, and ornamentation including simulated rear louvers and SS emblems on fenders, grille, and rear panel.

The Rallye Sport option puts the back-up lights below the bumper. The chrome-tipped exhaust pipes are a nice added touch.

Thin sport striping of the fenders, front and rear, is part of the Rally Sport option. The sport striping as well as the door decals have not been installed on this car. I personally like the car better without these items. I have a set of decals, but have chosen not to install them.
