This photo shows the original equipment T-3 headlights. I have never driven the car at night and I doubt that Emma did either.

These are the original fenders that came on the car. They have no rust! The headlight "caps" would typically rust out and need to be replaced. They have not been replaced or repaired.

This is the original hood bird. It has not been rechromed and is not a reproduction. It is in excellent original condition.

These are Bel Air hub caps and not original or correct for the car. I put them on to dress the car up a bit. I do have the original "dog dish" hub caps for a pure stock look.

The bumpers have not been rechromed and still shine and look good, but they are not as shiny as newly chromed bumpers. I did not rechrome the bumpers because I wanted to keep the car as original as possible and show how nice the car is. Everyone rechromes bumpers today. How many 1956 Chevs have the original chromed bumpers? There is no rust or pitting on the bumpers, but there are a few light scratches. They are in very good condition.

This is not a reproduction hood ornament. There are a few stress cracks in the plastic and the chrome trim does not shine like a new one, but it is in very good condition. The hood bar has a small crack in it and has been that way for years. This was a very common problem. I kept it on the car for originality.

I took this shot to show the frame, floor, and floor supports that are all in very good condition. You might notice the muffler that I am considering replacing. It's quiet, but the tailpipe is developing some pinholes and may need replacing soon.

Here you can see some of the cracking that is common on laquer paint. There are just a few areas where this is happening. I'd say that 95% of the paint is fine. I haven't had this touched up because it just gives a little character to the car and is no big deal.
