About

Tanja Hudson currently lives outside New York City in her secluded hideaway deep in the woods of New Jersey with numerous animals, most of which she has rescued. Her home and nature are her working studio with a unique lifestyle that mimics fairytales. Her two wolves keep watch over the property as pot-bellied pigs and miniature donkeys roam the backyard, parrots fly around inside the house, numerous dogs play around the yard and a few cats make sure they are always at her side. Along with photography,Tanja also loves painting with oils. Occasionally a paintbrush goes missing and becomes a chew toy. This life style is in stark contrast to her previous years. Tanja was born in Miami, Florida in 1969. Painting and drawing was her passion from a very early age. She received her BFA from the University of Michigan in 1992 concentrating in painting and photography. After graduation, she entered the world of fashion as a model, working for many top designers and gracing the runways. During this time, she also made a career of photographing models and hair and makeup artistry. Feeling a need to escape a superficial world, nature became her truth while her art tells her story.

Photo Series " Transcendence"

This photographic series, Transcendence, is inspired by fall colors that I interpreted into my idea of heavenly visions of nature where the colors are richly saturated with an enhanced metallic sparkle, giving the scene added depth and magic. Printed on Kodak ENDURA Metallic paper. Metallic paper has a glossy finish and metallic appearance that creates images with exceptional visual interest and depth. In addition to delivering rich, vibrant colors, this paper offers century-plus image stability.

Photo Series " A Tropical Dream"

The photographic series, TROPICAL DREAMS, is inspired by the tropic’s lush, green vegetation that I interpreted into a dream world where palms dance and jungles appear magical. The fine art color photograph is printed by a professional lab on Kodak ENDURA, a premium acid-free, archival paper which has a luster finish.
