Why is outsourcing this service best for my company?

There are several advantages to outsourcing specialized services, all of which come down to saving money for you. When your A/C system fails or your car won’t start, what do you do? You call someone who specializes in troubleshooting and repair of those systems. You leave it to the professionals. You reduce costly production downtimes by solving the problems quickly and reliably and receive expert advice that will avoid potential problems in the future.

Outsourcing still costs too much, doesn’t it?

Did you know that the typical employee salary and benefits package is costing you more than outsourcing your services? When you add in vacation, holiday, training, insurance, office space, and tools, a typical engineer can easily cost you twice what it costs to outsource the same service.

Do you provide services to companies outside the petrochemical industry?

Our background and experience includes many years working with producers and end-users of plastics. We do have the experience to work with other markets, such as the chemical and food industries. The same troubleshooting techniques are used with any system. Many of the same problems occur independent of the products which are being transferred.

My current system is experiencing unexplainable shutdowns. What's the problem?

We are expert problem solvers and we are familiar with all the mechanical, electrical, and control systems involved in your pneumatic conveying system. We understand that your process needs to keep going and these untimely shutdowns are costing your company money. We can provide short-term solutions to get you running quickly and long-term solutions for long-term reliability.

I'm looking for the bottlenecks with my current system?

Today, systems need to be optimized to their fullest. Sometimes only small changes can make a big difference in the performance of a system. It is important to have the ability to identify these areas in order to find an economical solution.

I need to know what the maximum rate is from my current system?

It's time to upgrade the upstream process and you need to know if the downstream conveying system will handle it. No problem. Our computer programs can analyze the performance of your current system and get you an accurate result of its capabilities.

Can I receive information in a detailed, written format?

We understand that you are working in one area of the plant today, and another area tomorrow. That's why all of our activities and recommendations are thoroughly detailed in a written document which is easily understood, complete with Action Items if necessary. This will allow you to review the information at a later date and still know exactly what needs to be done with your system. With our experience in the industry, we can also recommend proven products and suppliers which will best match the specific application.

Doesn’t the equipment supplier provide the same service?

When you request the services of the pneumatic conveying supplier, particularly on short notice, they will typically send out either a salesman or a service technician to find out what the problem is. The salesmen or sales rep will comfort you and take notes, but can’t solve your problem. While most service technicians are qualified mechanics, they typically will lack the process knowledge necessary to troubleshoot complex systems. Don't waste your time and money. At Pneu Solutions, we have the ability to walk into a project cold and take off running.

I received three completely different quotes on my RFQ package. Which one works best?

It happens all the time. Three pneumatic conveying companies will end up quoting, what looks like, three different systems. Moreover, the prices vary considerably. How do you know that you are getting comparable pricing? Which one will work best? Is someone leaving something out which you will need later? If you cannot answer these questions, then you need help from the experts. We are highly qualified to get down to the nuts and bolts of the system design. We know how to ask the right questions and get the right answers from your suppliers. We can evaluate and qualify your bids, or we can write the proper specifications to get everyone to quote the same thing.

How much will your consulting service cost me?

With only a brief phone discussion of the problem or required services, usually a very close estimate of the charges can be prepared for you in the form of a proposal which will include a general outline of action items along with itemized costs. This takes the guesswork out for you and sets a plan in motion for us. The average time for a complete system analysis is between 8 and 10 hours. This includes documentation review, system walkdown, and detailed report with a punchlist of changes. Contact us with a question or problem. We will be happy to discuss your situation at no charge.
